Biography

A litigator of civil matters for plaintiffs in Medical Malpractice, Nursing Home Neglect, Products Liability, Consumer Fraud, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Mass Tort and Class Actions, as well as other areas of civil litigation, Andrew D. Swain is also dedicated to educating the public on the workings of the legal system. Between 2002 and 2006, he served four years on the executive Board of the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the Philadelphia Bar Association. As a member of this organization, Mr. Swain co-chaired or served on the People's Law School of the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Continuing Legal Education Committee, and has co-chaired or served on other committees that supported the Bar Foundation, which is the charitable arm of the Bar Association that provides legal services to the indigent, the disabled, and many others in need.

Mr. Swain is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College in 1991 with honors, a graduate with honors from Temple Law School in 1994, where he served as a member of Temple Law Review, and the recipient of an LL.M. in Trial Advocacy from Temple in 1997. Mr. Swain is admitted to the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bars, the U.S. District Courts in these states as well as the First and Third Circuit Court of Appeals. He also serves as a member of the YLD Attorney Mentoring Program and has participated as a member of the State Civil Rules and Procedures Committee for the Philadelphia Bar Association.

Mr. Swain has authored published materials and lectured in the areas of managed care liability, hospital acquired infections, litigating cases in Federal Court, law firm development, and personal injury law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
